Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten!
Language Arts: We are learning to always pull down when writing - never push up. We will also learn the letter "L" this week. Please work with your child at home on writing their name. While we work on it at school, there is no substitute for practice, practice, practice.
Math: We will review attributes of 2D figures.
Social Studies: Throughout the year we will practice our telephone number and address.
Science: We are discovering different objects.

*In the event that an emergency closing, delay or early dismissal occurs due to inclement weather, Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Academy will follow the information provided by the Fox Chapel School District, i.e. if Fox Chapel School District is closed, delayed, or dismissing early due to weather conditions so is Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Academy. Please make special note: In the event of a delay for the Fox Chapel School District, Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Academy’s pre-kindergarten will be closed.
If you are a resident of a school district other than Fox Chapel you will need to be aware of the information provided by the Fox Chapel School District. Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Academy will follow the time parameters of the Fox Chapel District relative to emergency situations.

*For drop off and pick up, please use the Maple Street entrance. School begins at 8:30 a.m. Students may begin arriving as early as 8:15 a.m. Our school day ends at 11:30 a.m. Students not picked up by 11:40 a.m. will be taken to the school office.
