Welcome to Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Academy's basketball home page
At CDTCA we offer basketball programs for boys and girls from grades K-8. Introductory programs include the Little Dribblers (k-2nd grade) and the Developmental teams (3rd and 4th gr's). These programs emphasize participation, fun and teaching the basic fundamental skills of basketball.
The Junior Varsity (5th and 6th grade) and Varsity (7th and 8th grade) boys and girls teams compete in the Diocese of Pittsburgh basketball league.
In 2006, CDTCA's Athletic Association, in cooperation with St. Scholastica Parish, completed renovations to the gymnasium in Msgr. Kraus Hall. The facility now boasts a new playing floor along with a new scoreboard and bleachers. CDTCA Athletic Association also provides sponsorship advertising opportunities in the gym for local business partners. For more information please contact us at cdtsports@gmail.com
In recent years, CDTCA's Athletic Association has hosted the "Basketball in Aspinwall" Christmas Classic -- a Junior Varsity and Developmental boys basketball tournament during the Christmas holiday week.
